194 platforms to 829, and 435 forms filled in by hand
Three weeks ago SubmitMap listed 194 launch platforms. It lists 829 now, and 435 of those are ones I have submitted to myself, because the only way to write down what a form asks for is to fill it in. Two things that kept showing up: A lot of directories hide their free lane. The pricing page says $99 and the form has a free option three steps in, usually behind a badge their bot checks for in your footer before it will let you press submit. Read only the pricing page and you conclude there is no free tier, and you are wrong about a third of the time. What a submission costs your inbox is worth knowing before you make it. 146 listings now record what actually arrived at the address I submitted with: a receipt, a newsletter, or a sender running several supposedly independent directories at once. Observed from real mail, never guessed, and blank where I have not watched. Also new: paste a URL at submitmap.com/scan and it works out what your product qualifies for. No account. Still free to read, still no email wall, still nobody pays for placement.
