Hola, I’m Elsa. I moved to Spain a year ago and started learning Spanish from scratch. Now I’m building Soltar, the language app I wish I’d had from day one. Most language apps include a curriculum you adapt to. Soltar is built to adapt to you. Bring or generate your own lessons, build your vocabulary, and practice real conversations at your own pace.  Bring your own lessons by typing, photographing, uploading, or recording a class, or generate one on any topic. Then chat with your tutor about anything, get corrections that explain what changed and why, and save the words you meet to review later. You can learn Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Swahili, and English currently, with more languages to be added in the near future!

I was already learning Spanish through classes, podcasts, TV shows, and the occasional app. But everything lived in different places, and nothing really tied it together. I wanted one platform where I could keep my notes, review what I was studying, and actually practice conversation, which was always my weakest area. I started building Soltar for myself. Something simple, just to solve my own problem. But I decided to challenge myself to make it something other people could use too. That push is what shaped it into a proper app with real features and a real design.
