UIDrop extracts design systems from websites by reading the live DOM directly in the browser, capturing every color, font, spacing value, and component style in a single click. The tool sends this design context straight to AI coding agents—Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, Lovable, Manus and others—with tokens and screenshots already loaded into the chat, letting builders start real implementations in 30 seconds instead of making generic guesses. Every site snapped is saved permanently to a personal design library where users can browse their full design history, compare sites side by side, tag and filter, and export in formats like Figma variables, CSS custom properties, Tailwind config, shadcn theme, or Canva palettes. The tool is built for three workflows: developers reverse-engineering UIs to match production sites exactly, vibe coders shipping products with AI by combining design systems, and designers pulling visual references. Users can merge multiple designs into one implementation-ready prompt, pulling the hero from one site, navigation from another, and components from a third to create cohesive results.
Hi, this is actually the first project that I've ever built and I really wanted to test myself, by building a chrome extension. They are usually easier apps to build all-around as they solve only one small but painful enough problem that chrome users end up installing them. I saw an extension named CacheTray, that was like a recycle bin for things that people have in their clipboard, text, prompts, images, links, that sends all of those elements instantly, to every AI agent, in one click. I was planning on creating a tool for extracting design systems by fonts, colors, interactions, components, and thought that the idea of sending them to AI instantly would be a killer workflow, that would sure help devs, website builders, designers, and so on. I made it and released it, and since may until august, it hit about 60 users organically that actually liked it and used it constantly. That changed one day, when an X and Facebook indie dev made a video about it and promoted it as a "must-install" tool, and he drove me 3000 users in like 3-4 days. It was an insane spike, and it kept on growing and now I have about 7400 users and 200 installs/day, and even converted at least 30 users to the Pro plan. It is my first serious tool and by far the best one, and I am very happy and excited about its evolution.
